Dogs are to be licensed with the City of Plainview per City Code 503.2.3.
Dog License run January to December and are renewed annually, however starting in 2022, there is the option of a 1-year, 2-year or 3-year dog license for the City of Plainview residents.
There are requirements regarding your dog’s rabies vaccine. Please read the form carefully.
This form is available at City Hall or on the City’s website under “News and Announcements” or “Services and Forms.”
Please bring completed form to City Hall along with payment, and a copy of your dog’s rabies vaccination record to receive dog license.

The City of Plainview has issued a snow emergency.

Reminder from the City of Plainview: With the potential for accumulation of snow this weekend, please remember that it shall be unlawful to park, or permit any vehicle or trailer to remain parked, upon any alley or street from November 1st to April 1st between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. or until streets are plowed from curb to curb during or following any snow fall which accumulates over two (2) inches of snow. With this being a holiday weekend, and the possiblity of residents having extended family parking on city streets, in the event of snowfall accumulation of over 2 inches, please know that overflow parking is available at the Swimming Pool parking lot and the Bike Trail Head parking lot. $100 parking/snow tickets will be issued to any vehicle or trailer that is parked on the streets.
