Operation Round Up (People's Coop)
The People’s Energy Cooperative Trust will be funded by ORU voluntary contributions from members of the Cooperative. ORU contributions will be used primarily in the local area served by the Cooperative for charitable and educational purposes, including emergency energy assistance. Contributions generally will not be made for: Fund-raising dinners, raffles, and other events; Veteran, fraternal, and labor organizations; Lobbying, political, and religious organizations; Individuals (except disaster relief); Advertising; National fund drives; Capital fund campaigns; Scholarship programs or individual scholarships; Individual medical expenses to health care facilities; Uniforms, personal athletic equipment, or general sponsorships for Little League and traveling teams; Internal payroll expenses of an organization; Donations to organizations within a school district. Deadline for submitting applications for funds are: March 20, June 20, September 20, and December 20. If the date lands on a weekend, the deadline will be the Friday prior.
