With the colder temperatures finally arriving, Public Works is preparing on the City's iceink. We know everyone is excited to use the rink however, we ask that you please stay off the icerink until we notify you that it is ready. Stay tuned for further updates. Happy Winter everyone!

12/11/2023 Update: Watermain Break - The watermain break on West Broadway is being repaired. We have been informed that the water should be back up and running in about an hour's time. Thank you all for your patience today.

12/11/2023 Update: With the watermain break in Plainview, if you are in need of running water/use of a restroom, the Plainview Public Library is open and has running water. Crews are working on the break now. We do not have an estimated completion time as of yet, but we will update as they come available.

Construction Update September 12, 2023 Water Service Update. Between 2nd St and 4th St NW, the contractor will be switching homes to the new water system. There will also be a momentary service interruption between 4th and 5th St NW. If you do not have water, please call Sawyer Hander at 507-226-3472and we will have the contractor over to switch your water service.

Construction Update • 5th to 3rd St NW: Next week the contractor plans to continue work on sanitary sewer and watermain. • 3rd to 2nd St NW: The remaining storm sewer will be installed next week, followed by road grading to prepare for the gravel surface. • 2nd St NW to Highway 42: Concrete curb and gutter has been installed. Grading for driveways and sidewalk will begin next week. • 10th St NW: Most of the pavement patches have been completed. Grading work and top soil will follow. A water shutdown was scheduled for this afternoon for residents along 2nd Ave NW between 4th and 6rh St NW. The contractor will be switching these homes to the temporary water system.
