Economic Development Authority
The Plainview business community is supported by the city’s Economic Development Authority (EDA).
The Plainview EDA provides a suite of services that include: gap financing through its Next Generation Revolving Loan Fund and the city’s Lot Development, Residential and Commercial District Improvement programs; retail or office space in the Plainview Business Center; business incubation services for start-up or expanding businesses through the Plainview Business Incubator; and promotional activities that increase awareness of the city and its amenities.
The Plainview EDA works cooperatively with the city and other community groups on housing, zoning and infrastructure issues. And it also acts as an advocate, giving business and industry another voice in community life.

Plainview Area Foundation Grants
The Plainview Area Foundation (PAF) provides grants to support programs and projects that improve the quality of life and build a stronger sense of community in the Planiview-Elgin-Millville (PEM) area.
